Jan Gaarni
It's not only EU, OCH, but movies confirm it too. The Republic have been around for a thousand generations (25 000 years), but after the last great battle with the Sith Cult it was beaten up pretty bad. So it had to reunite itself once again. And that was a 1000 years B.B.Y.
Sounds Risky
I thought the Jedi Knights were the guadrians of peace for a thousand generations. Palpatine said that the Republic has stood for a thousand years. Though I haven't seen A New Hope in something like 6 years.
Jan Gaarni
Though I haven't seen A New Hope in something like 6 years. WOW, blasfemy, blasfemy. Go watch it at once and redeem yourself. hehe, j/k Yes, the Jedi Knight have been the guardiance of peace and justice for over a 1000 generations ... for the Republic. What is said is that this Republic have stood for a thousand years, not that it was formed a thousand years ago. You see, the Republic is starting to split into 2, and it is not the first time this has happened. The last time was a 1000 years prior to the movies when the Sith was believed to have been destroyed for good.
