OW! i fell your pain, that is a map-stopping bug.

It usually means you have a brush that it one unit thick (paper thin) or you have invalid entitys or something. i got this, deleted a small shader and three models and it now works.

Uhh.....dont say that.....I am 125 hours into this map...and was fixing to announce it....

I checked for paper-thin brushes--I had one that was 5 units thick--an area portal-- and I deleted ALL my models....

And guess what--it still says the same *$(&@ thing....

EDIT:

I sectioned off parts of my map....you wanna know the stats on one of 3 parts??

2374 brushes

848 entities (keep in mind I deleted everything but LIGHTS)

Good grief, I built this map extremely neat--I NEED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!!

BTW Thnx Wes,--for the help, I appreciate it.

that happened to me... I didn't know how to fix it so i started over... it had something to do with models i think. i hate those bugs. Have you tried the "autosave.map" file, or if your using JKII radiant try it in GTK Radiant.

delete stuff you added since last sucessful compile, then go and add them one by one. after you add something compile and run. if it brings up the error you know what the bug was.

Any time Karshadii.

Any time anyone actually:)

ERROR: SV_SetBrushModel: NULL

The map has some brush ents which are only one unit thick (paper thin). I'm not sure what the minimum thickness is supposed to be, but it apparently needs to be thicker than one unit.

You may also get this error when you have a brush model entity which does not have any valid brushes, i.e. a func_rotating with nothing but a common/origin brush. This could also be caused by a func_areaportal with a common/areaportal brush.

Ok, I have limited the area with the problem down to a very small area--which--is not built very prettily.

I could--and still will--build this part of the map over again (geez, there goes another weekend)

BUT--I would appreciate if one of you peoples who KNOW what their doing could take a look and point out the error to me for future reference.

If anyone would be so kind as to spare 10 mins of there time to take a look PLZ, BY ALL MEANS, contact me:

Thanks for all your help people.
