Orbitäl
Isn't this mod the best? I am currently trying to learn how to add extra sabers hilts. As of now they work, but only one is textured. Any suggestions/Ideas? -Orbital
Crusader88
I'm having a bit of trouble with adding new hilts. I am following everyone's instructions: open up the saber pk3 that I want to add and change the saber folder name to "saber_whatever" I do that and keep the modified pk3 in the gamedata/base directory. When I start up the jedi++2.2 mod I still have the same 3 default sabers to choose from, "Luke" "reborn" and "dessan". The hilt that I tried to add doesnt show up. Even if I do the console command: "hilt whatever" It just reverts the a default hilt. No matter what I do I still have 3 hilts to choose from. Am I not putting the modified pk3 files in the right place, or is there something more I need to do other than just renaming the saber folder to saber_whatever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Orbitäl
1st. Make sure your pk3 is structured like the following: models/weapons2/saber_xxxx/<files go here> Make sure you also make a new .pk3 and that your not modifying the mods (I know its open source, but trust me...) If you did all that, which it really takes maybe 1 minute to achieve, you'll have one problem solved. Herein lies a new problem. Most of the sabers will show up in the list, and in game, but "skinless" i.e. no textures. I have gotten only one to work so far, its called "Lord Xen's and I dunno whats different about it....I just know it shows up perfectly, skins and all. Best of luck to you, my friend. -Orbital
Crusader88
Thanks for the help. I've been doing exactly what you said but they still dont feel like showing up. Not even skinless. I have been rezipping it with winzip and renaming it to pk3. Maybe thats why they arent showing up. I'll try looking for a diff program. Thanks again.
