How can i fix my firewall problem?!!!!!

in any multiplayer game i cant host a game because of my f'ing firewall thing no one can join...this one guy told me to type my ip address into where i would typ a websites name or url.....i dunno what my ip address is and would like to know how to find out...second......could someone tell me how to fix my firewall problem??????!!!!!! :confused:

well to find your ip address (in win98 or 2000) go to start|run| type ipconfig (for 2000) or winipcfg (for 98). i dont remember where to find it at using xp and i dont know M.E that much.

 

as for the firewall you should be able to choose what programs are allowed to enter your computer. it depends on what firewall program you use. a thing that works for me is turning off my firewall
