Ahhhh. Yeah I'm not satisfied with her hair lol. looking for a way to make it more curly without slamming the polycount. Unless I just skin her hair to look curly when I'm done. I'll post some pics later when I get some free time. Any ideas based on the current pics though? I'm also gonna put her arm braclet thingy's on too.

Ahhh finally the flamers appear in this thread!(See above) Anyways I havn't worked on Shakira, Eminem, or Indiana J. much the last week. Max crashed on me, then my puter. Luckily everything is backed up muhahahahaha. Just gotta reinstall Max and I'm good to go again. Been hosting some 6 hr saber duel games then I'll get back to work.

Concerning making the hair more "curly" without increasing polycount much, here is my advice:

 

TURN EDGES

 

It is amazing what you can accomplish by just turning edges - almost FOLDING the faces. I needed curly/wavy hair with my Tolkien elf-maiden (WIP). I have long curly hair in real life - so I have experience with how it "hangs". I had to think in terms of three or four vertices as a time - not just plotting one-by-one. It took alot of tweaking, but I think it's got the texture/depth that straight hair does not. .Here are some shots of what I did:

I certainly COULD have just DIVIDED more edges to come up with something a bit more realistic, but my polycount target was 2000 for this model (didn't hit it; the finished head mesh is 1021, and the total polycount is 2278).

 

P.S. Yeah, I can't stand her music either, but your model looks good! :)
