All kidding aside, Scav, there are some rather knee-jerk reactions and blanket statements in this thread, but I don't think it's anyone's duty, or even possible, to change someone's opinion about anime without actually sitting them down and watching it with them. I am a computer animation major in college and I happen to think the character from evangelion is very detailed and sharp looking. This isn't about a stupid infatuation with anything anime... ... and another thing, being as I am a computer animation major, I will most likely be making all the games you will love to play in a few years, so deal with it. The characters are so complex, unlike the typical funimation animes (like dragonb ball). The first time I watched Eva thru I felt so weird becuase of the last two episodes...yea u know....but Indeed I voted for Eva unit 1 SPOILERS AHEAD Why? Why? Why, why do I want to pilot unit one? To Pilot Eva? Because Unit One Can Go Monkey on Angel's asses. You know your bad ass when you just eat someone. Shinji's Mom (Soul trapped in Eva 1) must be one pissed of women. Sure Eva unit 2 is cool and Eva unit 0 looks cool....but come on.....they can't just eat people.... Hell if you want, model a universal body and the seperate heads....really all the bodys are the same right? They just have different paint jobs. But if you do make a person, make it Asuka, not only cause shes hot...but because she will have the best taunts. Or make it Gendo Ikari (The Master Of Human Chess) Cause he is ass bad ass as monkey eva unit 1. Matariel Posted August 19, 2002 Author Share Posted August 19, 2002 wow, thats a deep comment thanks for the input, but as i said, ive got some assignments to do, but i may start on Unit-01 by this friday (with possibly a finished head by the weekend) btw, the last 2 episodes got a lot of flak in japan and Anno (the director/writer) got death threats from hardcore fans (!) Thats why he made Death/Rebirth, and Air/My heart to you (End of Evangelion) but my opinion is that you needed to see ep25 and 26 to know what goes on in shinji's mind during intrumentality (in My Heart To You) and how he goes on to 'save the world' in a screwed up kinda way for those who dont have a clue what i'm on about, rent or watch the series IN ORDER, then watch the movies (The english dub of Death/Rebirth is out now, End of Eva will be in about a month) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
