RelFexive
Yes, I've started on another duel map. Thing is, I've discovered an odd problem with the dome.... I made it as a cone for the top and a low cylinder for the base. Go and see the screenshots HERE. Now, the 'left' side is OK (shots 1 to 3), nice and rounded, but the 'right' side (shots 4 to 6) is very, very strange. It's angular instead, and you can walk through bits of it. In fact, it's as if on that side the real edge is invisible and solid where as you can see the not-real edge but walk through it. What is causing this problem? (Does any of that make sense?) giganerd
That is weird. How many sides does this cone have? It looks to me like you may have to do it over, or just delete the weird half and copy and rotate the good half so you have two good halves. RelFexive
Don't know how many sides. Just selected 'cone' from the, what, meshes window? Same place you select 'patch mesh' from, no sub-menus used. Plus, it's one solid thing, so there are no halves to delete or copy. But I can always modify it to change that.... Anyone else? giganerd
Are you using JK2Radiant or GTKRadiant? Use the clipper tool to split the cone in half. Hold down Ctrl and right-click to place the first clipper dot and do the same for the second one. Move them around until you have the yellow line cutting through the middle of the cone and so that the good side is on one half and bad side is on the other. Then hit enter+shift to split it and then just delete the bad half.
RelFexive
I'll give that a go, but it sounds as if tyraslin in this thread has got it working.... I'll let you know how it goes with me....
Karshaddii
It *probably would be alot quicker just to redo it...
Emon
Fools, you can't clip patch meshes! Just recreate it, it doesn't exactly look like a dome anyways...
