-[MotU]-Lyger|=-
could some one sum up the story?
obi
He really didn't do a heck of a lot, he had some speaking roles that where sort of irrelevant, but the main thing he did was blow up Xzior's(Spelling?) Skyhook Station.
-[MotU]-Lyger|=-
did he battle anyone?
obi
You mean with a lightsaber? I don't think he did, because Luke had just finished constructing his new Green saber, and I don't remember him battling anyone with it. And in ROTJ, Vader says "I see you have constructed a new lightsaber," So I doubt Vader had seen it before.
-[MotU]-Lyger|=-
oh so this story took place before RotJ ok, makes sense why vader is in it now...
Clem
SOTE is basically the story of Vader vs Xizor with trying to find han inbetween it all
Darth Slayne
I was a little disapointed in the fact that the book was too short, and it seemed more directed at the younger reading group. Thats not to say that I didn't like it though. But to clarify Clem's comment, its set between Empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi. I don't recal Vader doing any fighting in it. Reb Starblazer
Hmm, that's rather strange. I could have sworn that Vader and Xizor got into a duel in it. But, it's been a long time, so I may not remember it that well. Just for clarification, they didn't fight with a lightsabre each. I think Xizor had some kind of Cortosis( or some other material that a Lighsabre can't cut through) Staff that he fought Vader off with.
Darth Talliusc
they do not duel (sadly) but vader does take out several assassin droids weilding lightsabers. (and for the record in the eu luke and vader fought a total of 5 times 2 of which in the movies but none in SOTE)
Psionic Jedi
Xizor and Vader played "Who can suck up to the Emperor best" the whole time and Xizor tried to piss vader off by trying to kill Luke. Sorry I couldn't answer your question about what he EXACTLY did .
Jedi_Monk
SotE was okay... brilliant, relative to most of the other EU novels... but it just doesn't fit my vision of what happened between Empire and Jedi. Almost since the first time I saw those two movies, I thought the Emperor found out about Vader conspiring with Luke against him. The Emperor whips Vader into shape which is who he goes back to the cowering dog-on-a-leash we see in Jedi. Nothing like that in SotE... so I'm disappointed with it

I agree, but it was a good book. It was fast and fun, but It should have been longer like the Zahn books.
