Erm....no, it really doesn't. Through your interpretation, there are many aspects that are overlooked, and should be considered. For instance:

 

1)Kick is not a problem....yeah, if he does it 95% of the time, than kick clearly is not a problem for this man!

Tell raven about these fantastic player produced ideas....oh wait, haven't you learned thats the reason for these patches in the first place.

 

Super Moderator here presents a very good point: it's a counter move, it's there to help you out of other situations. Raven's best shot at giving you alternate solutions to a problem

 

But this system is not perfect! There are human beings on the other end of the machines, not the same star wars trekkies that share your wonderful dream about a fantastic and well thought out saber battles......just people, and people who want to win at that.

No matter what kick might be like in the game... it is still lame that a person runs towards a jedi standing with his saber out and kicks him right on his saber. It makes no sense no matter how you define the reality of star wars. And non scripted kickers are not as dangerous.... they make errors once in a while and a scripted kick doesn't jump very high... only if he misses you will you see it.

When you insult someone's writing style, try and spell "losing" correctly. Before you start looking through your dictionary and what not, think these things first.

 

1: Is my pseudo intellectual air really going to impress anyone?

 

2: Was this post directed at me?

 

3: Is it really THAT easy to dismiss posts as gutter trash and written by "kids?"

 

4: Is this a video game forum, where I am insulting people by calling them kids?

 

5: Is it right to be an adult and play video games instead of getting a freaking life?

 

6: Did I just indulge myself in pure flame and make absolutely no valid point, but just ramble on incoherently, trying to use "big" words with no true statement?

 

These few guidelines should be followed as close as possible. Remember, before posting such a long-winded and moronic response, we must remember to spell-check and make sure we aren't REPEATING ourselves over, and over and over again.

Icefox. I never insulted your writing style. I was talking about the contents. I spell just fine thanks, but if you want to make than an issue then so be it. And I didn't try to use any big words... if it seemed like that to you then it's not really my problem. And if you find my post insulting then I suggest you re-read your own. Most of the questions you have asked could be answered that way. But you flamed me and I responded... although I didn't use the language the same way as you did. You better get used to that. Not everyone will jump like a troll from a box and start flaming people for no other reason that they disagree with a point of view. I guess you are just one of those persons. Lets get this rubber duckie back on course shall we...What was the damn topic...Ah yes kicking.

 

 

1.) Kicking ok in my book aslong as its not over used. Like lunge its a legit move that people can and should use. It can be avoided and is hardly the ultimate uber-move you seem to make it out to be. I find it easy to counter with a jump hit in run...basicly you take a downward swing(Heavy pref) and you land by them, hit them them you jump off in about a sec. Timings a bitch but it's worth it. Beating a lamer can be x10 better then beating the average player.

 

2.) Kicking is a part of the Star Wars universe. Luke kicked Vader, Obi1 kicked droids, and Darth Maul kicked lil O B all acrost that Duel Of Fates map (I can think of 2 times). Sure jumping in the air and doing a back flip off a jedi face doesn't exactly look real (Or safe for that matter) but I doubt raven wanted to make a new animation for it.

 

3.) I find it funny that 'scripts are the path to the darkside' but you posted a script (No matter how simple) on how to kick with the press of a button for all n00bs to see. I don't care if its well known or used. You've just been fagitized in my eyes.

 

4.) Vanilla coke is great! I've known this for a long time but I never reallized that it kicks this much ass. Maybe I'm just getting tired of chugging a Mountain Dew, but I'm seriously thinking about switching to this as my drink of choice. Would have been great if they went a little bit more heavier on the vanilla tho.

I get alot of kick spammers as well as i only play NF duel (with Jump).

 

My best counter so far is as they run at me to kick, i run backwards and charge an over head chop just when i think they will jump over me.

Chops thier toes 50% of the time, after the second hit they usually change thier tactics but it doesnt usually make any difference as thier health is at about 25 now anyway.

 

And for a person that hates scripters, i was disapointed to see you post excatly how to script the kick, this has only created more of wot u hate.

So many people use it, most here will deny and I am not even interrested in hearing you say "I never use scripts" ... lets never have that discussion because it is lame... not many will admit they are, so the discussion would be without purpose. I posted the script so all those who do not know about scripts can start using it if they want to. Everyone should know about it. Why? Because every person can choose to use it or not... I don't force anyone to use it and information will never be our enemy, only abuse of information.

 

I feel like this with all cheats in games.... I wish every single cheat were so easy to find so everyone could use it... I have played DF for quite some time and that game is so full of exploits and cheats. Every single player would deny using a cheat even if you could tell him just what he used. If cheats were available to everyone the game would either die and only the ones who were really dedicated would play without cheating OR people would realize how lame it was and stop cheating. How is it I can say that? Because the players who cheat does it to win, to get an edge over other players... winning means so much to them and they only feel good when they win. They would leave as soon as everyone else could do the same as them. There is no way around cheating and scripting, and hiding scripts from the public will only please the cheaters.
