Casa Addams
Hi! Well.. I would be verry pleased if LucasArts put a complete and correct list of all things published/developed by LucasArts and Lucasfilm Games. Why correct? I may be wrong but I can not find any proof that there was a PC version of Ballblazer or Rescue on Fractalus!. I know that there is this "History" thing going on but I really like to have a real list. And I know that there is a list in the press section of the site but this list is so incomplete and wrong that I cant really use it. So if anybody has a list or someone at lucasarts.com is willing to make one I would be verry verry happy! Happy Anniversary! Casa Addams P.S. Why did you change the first part of the history? SamNMax
Well, I don't know if this list is right for you. I found it on the back of a Classic Adventures manuel. I'll add on to it cuz it only goes up to 1992. I won't add any Star Wars games to it. Too many to list. Here we go: Rescue on Fractalus! 1984 Ballblazer 1984 Koronis Rift 1985 The Eidolon 1985 PHM Pegasus 1986 Labryrinth 1986 Strike Fleet 1987 Habitat 1987 Club Caribe 1987 Maniac Mansion 1987 Battlehawks 1988 Zak Mckracken and the Alien Mindbeners 1988 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Graphic Adventure) 1989 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Action Game) 1989 Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain 1989 Pipe Dream 1989 Night Shift 1990 Loom 1990 GTV: A Geographic Perspective on American History 1990 The Secret of Monkey Island 1990 Secret Wepons of the Luftwaffe 1991 Star Wars 1991 Defenders of Dynatron City 1991 The Empire Strikes Back 1992 Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revange 1992 SWOTL P-38 Tour of Duty 1992 SWOTL P-80 Tour of Duty 1992 SWOTL He 162 Tour of Duty 1992 SWOTL Do 335 Tour of Duty 1992 Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. 1992 Classic Adventures 1992 X- Wing 1992 Super Star Wars 1992 Paul Parkranger & the Mystery of the Disappearing Ducks 1992 Sam and Max: Hit the Road 1993 Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the Tentacle 1994 Full Throttle 1995 The Dig 1995 Afterlife 1996 Outlaws 1997 The Curce of Monkey Island 1997 Escape from Monkey Island 2000 Grim Fandango 2000 I might have F'ed up a little but that's pretty close. Lord Savage
Hey Casa, You'll be happy to know that I sent WebJedi a big honking email about all the inaccuracies I found on the Press Product History page and the Part One of the 20th Anniversary article. They fixed up the article so it is now pretty accurate (though it still might be off somewhat since I don't have complete records going back to '82) but the Press Product History page is still a flipping mess. I'm pretty sure there weren't PC versions Fractalus and Ballblazer. The old PCs and XTs just didn't have the graphics (CGA, Monochrome or Hercules Mono) to do those games justice. Lord Savage
What do you know. They revised the 20th anniversary article again and now it says that Ballblazer and Fractalus were ported to the PC.
Casa Addams
Thank you guys for your answer. I have the same manual SamNMax and I think it is wrong here and there too. Lord Savage: Thank you too. I cant belive that these guys at LucasArts sit on a huge pile of stuff in their archives and cant manage to build a complete and correct list! Really! Give me one weekend in their archives and I put one super dooper list out and two weekends for a real collection! Ha! One WITH Grails Diary and Loom audio drama. ... Bet my left testicle that there was no Rescue! and Ballblazer for PC. Lord Savage: Could you mail me your list? Casa_addams@hotmail.com I could send you mine too then. Casa Addams
Well... thats not a real problem.. I mean its pretty easy to say WHAT adventures came out WHEN but on what system is a real pain in the ass... LucasArts made so many mistakes on their homepage its almost ridiculous! Ever heard of the systems MSX 1 and 2? Well the new staff at LucasArts.com not I think but almost all of their old games were released on that systems... See the problem? How could we call us fans or even think about collecting if we do not even know what came out on what system.. All these small parts that are revealed every month like a Dig version with real actors on the japanese system "Wasabi 2000" make me mad! (for the record: that was a joke so don't get hysterical ) Hrm... maybe we have to die stupid... Casa.addams P.S. See how they mixed Indy3 action and adventure cover? Do they really care about the old stuff? Like their new "old and new heroes" t-shirt. Did you see Guybrush or Bernard? .. Zak? Or is it just the new ****? I would kill for a Zak McKracken T-Shirt... Hey... do you guys think Simon Jeffery would mind if I ask him to give me his job? How cool! Vote me! And I give you ...eh.. an Monkey Mansion staring Zak McKracken crossover adventure! And no more Star Wars games for at least 5 years! Just kidding Simon.. I really like the idea of an Sam 'n' Max Action Adventure. How about "Super Monkey Island Racing"? Or the "Day of the Tentacle - The interactive print shop"??? Night...
