Alright I'm using UltimateMod v3 and Ive edited it quite a bit (Removed new sabers, sounds played with npc's a bit) with no problems at all. However now it seems I've hit a brickwall.

 

 

It started when I wanted to get maul to fight a bit more like...well maul. So I cracked open my pak3 editor and extracted the npc.cfg, and since theres only one npc that comes close to the style of maul(No tossing lightning, no spaming push/pull, and not alot of other crap) I attempted to change Maul's original class from Desann to Luke. I expected it to work fine (Famous last words) but when I tried to load him up with the new class he spawned with an invisable lightsaber. You can hear it but its not there, It does no damage, and he has no force powers. Anyway does anyone know if its at all possible to make an enemy fight like Luke?

P.S. I remember in the Tavion Mod you fought a Plookoon (Or what ever) Luke...I'll take a look into that while you hopefully help me :D

hmmmmmm Gonna try a JEDImaul (Not reborn) with enemy set as player...

 

 

If this works...well...DUH! :D

Well it worked...Sorta...Got the model, sound, and alignment up and working great, however he now uses a blaster...So ny help anyone? And to help u guys out heres the new npc cfg for him...

Well then how'd did the guy that made the Tavion mod end up with a duel vs Luke at the end of his map? I took a look in his npc.cfg and found nothing.

 

I'm not saying you're not right, but...Well lets see what emon says. His guide, although very short and simple, is probably why I even started this. It wasn't too long that you gave up to even try to aproch it size but it was too short to cover all info, I hope he updates it just for n00bs like me. :D

He did that by replacing tavions model with luke. All you do for that is change the name of luke's model directory to tavion and his sound directory to tavion. Class alignment restrictions at current are hardcoded, until new classes are able to be made we will be up the creek without a paddle

Ok Clearly you've never played The Tavion Mod. Let me explain it.

 

You fight Rebel ppl(These are probably just ST with the rebel skin) and jedi(Not reborns these are then jedi you see on Yavin IV fighting reborns, with different models). Then at the end you fight Luke(With a plookoon model). It fights like Luke, It has his force powers, and it even has the captain rank. He was evil(Or good by the maps story line), but used Lukes everything.

 

So my question still stand but heres another...

 

Is there anyway to change Kyles alignment?

Well hey, i editing Maul too to make him more Maulish... he doesnt use the force lightning, the only thing he uses is saber throw... here's what i used for settings:

I think for those of you having trouble with your sabers, just reinstall the original pk3's for your mods (e.g., UltimateModv3).
