mp console commands (stupid and repetative questions most likely)

I would like to appologize ahead of time for asking any questions that are already listed in this forum. I did not have any luck finding the answers on any websites or in any current threads in this forum. Anyway, ONWARD TO STUPIDITY!

 

Been a while since ive posted at the forums, but I decided to drop by and see if anyone could answer a few questions I have about MP console commands. Anway, I will begin running my own server in about 2 weeks and I have very little knowledge of console commands in MP. I was browsing through the forums and found plenty of commands, but no explanations of what they do. So basically what I am looking for, if you dont mind helping this poor fool, is a listing of a few of the most commonly used commands that server admins use when setting up and running their servers, and maybe a word or two that explains what the commands do. Or even letting me know if there is a FAQ or something out there that lists all the commands and what they do. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this.

 

Ones that I am particularly interested in are....

 

1- the command to kick someone.

 

2- the command to turn on the ghoul2 stuff for the saber so that they dont pass through eachother constantly.

 

3- the mp command for dismemberment (if different from the SP one)

 

4- the MP commands for toggling the force powers available to the players on the server.

 

5- the command for running special game modes (like jedi vs merc or light vs dark) that were not available with the unpatched 1.0 version of JO.

Well the kick command is

 

kick <playername> or Kick <ClientID> typed in the server console

You can do all of the things you need to do by using Jedirunner. You can get it here:

Here are the basics:

 

When you start the server you will see a command line at the bottom of the server window. In here you need to setup a rcon password (remote console) so that while you are in the server you can have all of the control without exiting the program. You do this by typing in the following line:

 

\set rconpassword <your password here>

 

Now go into your server as a player and type the same exact thing into the console (shift+~). Now you can kick, ban Clientkick players all from inside the game. Here are those commands. One thing to remember you can do the same thing from the server command line just leave off the "rcon".

 

Kick a player:

 

\rcon kick (player name)

 

Use Clientkick instead:

 

\rcon Clientkick (client number)

 

You get the client number by doing the following:

 

\rcon status

 

The client number is the one on the far left
