Mandalorian shader

Ok, I'm a newbie at Jedi Knight skinning and shaders. I made a skin for the Mandalorian model, and I had all the appropriate graphic files used by the shader. I copied the text of the Mandalorian.shader file, replacing the original file names with my own. I loaded it in-game, and the armor was flat and boring, instead of shiny and cool. What am I doing wrong?

Also, you need to make sure your skin has an alpha map to set what parts of the model will be effected by the shader.

 

I am assuming that the shader is the texture blend over the env map.
