some requests and some info

1st off : how do you record sounds directly from the computer - not streaming to an external device -but capturing sounds playing - for example if i were playing a movie what software do you know of to capture this? - which leads on to the requests.

 

i would like to replace the force push sound with the one used for darth maul in ep1 and also the more ragged sound his saber makes when swung - anybody fancy helping me out here, or at least giving me some info on how i could do this myself.

ok i've captured some sounds myself -i know how to make mods..to a dgree but which files do i need to replace for swings etc?

May I highly recommend this program:

It captures whatever you hear basically (Whatever is coming through your sound-card). Great quality recordings - I use that for grabbing the sound from a JKII demo and put it back in to an avi file with the video.

seems like a nice program, but it constantly crashes and wacks out the recordings

and on that note: is there a proper way to rip sounds etc? because the stuff i ripped sounded fine outside jk2 but in game it was either not loud enough or crackly...
