My first JK2 map...

I don't think I will do anything more with it, but I just wanted to show off my first map It is just a small map duel map, but if you guys think it is good then I will work on it more.

Welcome to the great world of mapping . I think your map looks fine exept i think that its just to little of space to fight on. And also the map looks a little funky with a bright sky and a map with little lightning, but fixing these small but important details will make your map much more interesting and more fun to play.

That's pretty sweet for a first map! But yah, open-to-sky maps should have better lighting. It's too simple for the amount of space you give it. If you made the open areas smaller, you could have a duel map that's just fine, or if you made it more complicated, you could have a very interesting duel map to play with weapons on (with sniper points and such), but you're in a bad between-area with that.

Well, what have you done so far? You made a map- did you compile it? Is it in the base\maps folder?

I like the design of your map. very nice astheticaly.

The sky does need darkening though as others said.

(or you could make the map lighter but i think it looks good dark)

 

I cant comment on the size...im having trouble visualizing the scale

with no charecters visable for comparison.
