bleek
I used the tutorial. I got down to the UVW mapping part...and couldn't follow it. The orange square around it just would not pop up. Then all the sudden it did for some reason. Then I couldn't Unweld the parts. sniffle.
UltimateZeus
I also got to UVW mapping and then the instructions went pretty vague about unwrapping. Also got lost.
Commodus
UVW Unwrapping is tricky. I suggest that you download Chilliskinner and use that to unwrap the vertices of your model. Then just put on an UVW Unwrap modifier to your model, look at the vertices (do a little adjusting of your own if you have to) then take a picture of your vertices (press Print Screen). Crop the image in Photoshop/PSP, resize the picture - make sure the dimension are all a power of 2 - like 128, 256, 512, etc. Dimensions don't have to be the same, and if they're not a power of 2 they WON'T APPEAR INGAME! When that's done you can get on with painting it. Technically you could paint it and then resize, but your skin would lose a bit of quality.... Chilliskinner works ok but sometimes you have to change it around yourself....
