Wes Marrakesh
Ok, this is my second ever model (none released other is WIP bolter) but I need feedback on a question.. look at the pic here . Ok. You see that small middle area I have cut out? I want to move that in, on all sides, to make a place for the grip. I tried selecting them all and using extrude with a negative value, but this moved them all in one direction I want to move them ALL in... can I do this without any clipping? Also constructive critisism is welcome and appreciated.

KapnKeg
I can't see your pics because geocities won't show your webpage. But, from what you described ... I think you need to you need to select the vertices that you want to "move in" and then select the non-uniform scale button. Now, just drag your verts in or out along the axis that you want to scale. Hope it helps.
Wes Marrakesh
glad i figured out the polycount... :jawdrop: it was over 6000! i took out a bunch of things and it is still over 1000.... i need help! lol
Wes Marrakesh
Well I just took out more things and made a bunch of things less-sided, and my polycount is down to
-Chrono_MOT-
I noticed you were using tubes for the ridges. Never use tubes, you should use 8-sided cylinders. Same effect, hardly noticable. Everything can be done with 2-stack 8-sided cylinders (the knobs). The core can use a single-stack 8-sided cylinder.
