JediMasterLinkE Posted August 25, 2002 Posted August 25, 2002 I am trying to make anakins light saber. I was wondering if there are any good tutorials out there or if any one has a Graflex 3 cell flash gun for a low price. Thanks
Ratmjedi Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I don't know if this will help you out but this is a website. It is from another thread. http://www.thelightsaber.com/index.htm
Darth Damage Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 do a google search it is very good if not i cant help yuh.
AgentSmith Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 You can always purchase the Anakin FX lightsaber from MasterReplicas, no?
ckcsaber Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I bought Anakins saber from MasterReplicas. Its really nice! Comes with the luminiscent blad too. It makes the saber noises when you use it.
JediMasterLinkE Posted August 26, 2002 Author Posted August 26, 2002 i am 15..... i don't have that much cash and am wanting a saber soon.... Thanks i might consider that master replica one how much is it
ckcsaber Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 Its $129.99. I think its a fair price for such a kickass item
JediMasterLinkE Posted August 27, 2002 Author Posted August 27, 2002 yea its fair... 120$ is alot though... i might just trying making one out of a tube or some thing. its not that much and well most replicas are to pricey. Any one know any tuts on making a home made saber.. maybe Lukes Rotj ?
ckcsaber Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Lukes ROTj would be harder cause there are those coils at the top. Vaders would probably be easier to make. Just go to a meta search engine and type in lightsaber. Im sure you'll find something
AgentSmith Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 There's another company that makes lightsabers (well like Master replicas but they're not replicas since they're custom sabers and they use plasma tubes.) but they usually cost from 500$ to 600$. So Master Replicas price isn't too bad imho. But I'm not sure I'm going to buy one. Several are for sale on eBay. You could check it out.
ckcsaber Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 AgentSmith the company you are talking about is parksabers.com I heard somewhere that GL used those sabers for ep 2
JediMasterLinkE Posted August 29, 2002 Author Posted August 29, 2002 a park saber with out a blade costs like 210$ the do look good though
ckcsaber Posted August 30, 2002 Posted August 30, 2002 The parksabers have lots of cool gear too. but everything is kinda pricey
AgentSmith Posted September 1, 2002 Posted September 1, 2002 Those parksabers do look awesome. But the ones I meant are the plasma sabers from Future Horizons. The parksabers actually look better and cost far less than those of Future Horizons. (No offense to them.)
Pada-Wan Posted September 2, 2002 Posted September 2, 2002 making your own saber would be more fun and you would save money. considering you dont suck at it. i suck at it so i bought one from MR
ckcsaber Posted September 2, 2002 Posted September 2, 2002 Yeah, you should bulid it if you know it'll turn out okay. I suck at buliding stuff so I just bought mine
covenant_bad Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 you could try making one out of an old maglight case (big one) and ad bits. OR use a piece of plumbing pipe or chrome then ad rubber grips emitter discs etc..
Axims Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Does anyone have a cheap MPP? I want to make Anakin's lighsaber and it would be easiest with a MPP (if not please tell me) Thanks.
Kyle_KatarnJedi Posted September 18, 2002 Posted September 18, 2002 I built one with this... http://www.padawansguide.com/lightsabers.shtml
Robbiesan Posted September 18, 2002 Posted September 18, 2002 very cool.. gonna have to get me some of those...
ckcsaber Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 Oh yeah! there's another thing. I'm not good at building stuff AND im really lazy. So i guess thats why I bought mine
