Darth Valinor
Ok. Can't find this anywhere, and search is disabled, so... I have 3ds max, and I put the vmdexp.dle file in the plugins directory and when I start max and goto the plugin manager it says it is loaded, but I cannot import the root.xsi file? Is this not the same plugin that came with the original SDK release, cause I know that worked, but no one has the original SDK for download, only the "updated" one, which doesn't contain all of the tools. Any help would be apreciated.
Sounds Risky
Are you running at least MAX 4?
Darth Valinor
Yes, it is max 4.2. When the SDK was originally released, I installed the plugin and could load up .xsi files just fine. Now, all I can find is the "updated" SDK which does not include the .xsi files for kyle and the stormtrooper and the plugin doesn't work right. Madjai
i dont know what vmdexp.dle is, to import the .xsi files i use the XSIimporter.dli it came with the first version of the JKII editing tools. it can be found here http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=197 but you have to sign up first, but it only takes a second, they email you instantly. KevinCoyle
You have to download both Jk2editingtools and JK2editingtools2, there are two of them, one of them comes with the file you have, the other has the xsi import/exporter.
