Freezing Monkeys

Help! I spoke to the monkey with the bronze hat about Monkey Combat, so i know what to do. Then when i went back to the game another day to have a go at some of the monkeys, there aren't any. They've all runn off

 

When I go to the bit where there's a clearing in the forrest to speak to the only active monkey (apart from Timmy) it runs off and the game freezes up on me!

 

I'm getting very frustrated as it lets me go anywhere alse i want to but when i get to the clearing in the forest, it stops.

 

Is there something i haven't done which is preventing me from going any further?!!???!!??

oh joy, another chapter four bug, that makes about 70 now.

 

can someone (grannen) tell me if someone ahs made a patch for that specific chapter considering it's the biggest problem? if there is a patch, i'd look around for it on this site or some better monkey island site (there are always better monkey island sites, http://www.thescummbar.com http://www.milegend.com http://www.woldofmi.com and so on.)

sorry, i read this after i sent the PM. never mind, tyhe best thing to do is either the second thing i told you (start a new game or open up a previously saved game) or you may have a fault disk in which case you should contact LucasArts Technical Support:
