Raynar Thul
Ok I'm using Milkshape to create a model for Jedi Knight 2. I've never done this before, and I was wondering if anybody knows if there is tutorial about how to go about doing this (with Milkshape, not 3dmax). I need help with everything from making the model and setting the caps to creating the skin for it and putting it altogether. Please help me out
Madjai
i have been told that you cant weight in ms3d, or if you can assimilate doesnt recognize the weighting so it leaves your model all screwed up or something. ill try to find exactly what he said. edit: heres what he said Psynex said "Yes, you can get a character in game using milkshape, it's been done before. It's just that the animation will look a little funny because all of the bone assignments will be rigidly assigned, meaning weighting won't do anything. There's a thread out there for it, just look." so im not sure if you want to bother using ms3d because i dont think anybody wants a crappy looking model.
