Gohan_Trunksss
I know this has been talked about a lot but i havent seen anyone mention how to fix it... is there a way to fix the lights bug when the lights show threw walls (mainly in the courners) this is happening a lot on my map and i need to fix it before i can release it. Leslie Judge
People say no. Only one thing you can try is make the walls connect like this in the corners: | |___ |/___ instead of this: | |___ |_|___ (this is not good) or this: | | |_|___ (this lets through light) |___ And when I write cornes I mean every corners, not only in between the WALLs but between WALLS AND FLOOR / CEILING. Of coure only in the case of the light bug. Hope this helps a bit. edit: actually I can't make space on the beginnigs of the lines, so the last example is show wrong
Gohan_Trunksss
wow that would be a lot of time i dont have to go back threw and change all the courners lol, mabe i can just try to fix the really bad spots heh, anyways i think i understand what you mean on the connecting courners, do you think u can get a ingame shot or a radient shot so its a better picture of how to do it? Gohan_Trunksss
so your best solution was to thicken the wall?
Emon
Does anyone know if this also happens with shader lights?
Leslie Judge
Yep, for me the thick walls were the best. Emon: actually that light is coming from the sky. There is a surfacelight and a q3map_sun. I dont know how the sun exactly works. Maybe it is similar to any light entities... If it is, than you have a good chance that shaders don't generate this kind of problem. I'll try that and post the answer.
