idontlikegeorge
follow these easy steps: 1. click on the "JediKnightii.net" picture at the top of this page (currently broken image for me while im writing this) 2. on the left side of the site, jk2.net, under files section, click on "Tools" 3. download BOTH v 1.0 amd 2.0 of the JK2EditingTools - although you really only need 1, cuz thats the one with the editor heres a shortcut for 1-3 http://www.jediknightii.net/files/index.php?category=16 4. extract it, should make a Tools\ folder in your JK2\GameData dir 5. goto RichDiesal's JK2Radiant Tutorial site, to learn how to use the editor 6. after bewing successfully told one way to do things in the... limited editor, get really angry at the editor, and post questions on the forums 7. catch wind of another editor, GTKRadiant, and ask about it 8. Emon tells you to "TRY LOOKING!" and sends you to: http://www.qeradiant.com/ 9. download a version of that program that has JK2 support 10. install the program wrong and ask about it; get insulted by Emon 11. install it right and use that editor, maybe hehehe. well anyway, basically, two editors are out there, GTKRadiant, and JK2Radiant Gtk is a custom-made editor by what ive noticed to be open source geeks, gotta love them - as such it has much more potential, but is also somewhat more complicated to install and setup and use, somewhat; whereas JK2Radiant is "made" by Raven for the game, and is really easy to install, and works fine, usually i personally use both to summarize: JK2Radiant: http://www.jediknightii.net/files/index.php?category=16 (in editing tools pack 1) GTKRadiant: http://www.qeradiant.com/ the fastest way to start mapping for this game is to go to RichDiesal's JK2Radiant Tutorial site, and do General Concepts 101, that will hook you up with everything you need - if you are more advanced, you'll find out his tutorials and methods can be a bit limiting have fun
