Death

I know you probably don't care. The cat died today, he was killed by a blow to the head, probably a car (at 7:30 in the morning on this quiet street, no one even heard it break). Maybe it was deliberate, somone muderded an animal, a loving pet who wasn't even a year old yet. My mum discovered him no more then 10 minutes after he died, no one had stoped to help him or see if he was okay.

Not much blood, just out of one corner of his mouth, otherwise he looked good for a dead cat.

Thats what I was getting at. I meant that it is not fair for our dogs to be on a leash(by law here) and not cats. Personally, I don't like cats.

I see the error of my ways, say "blow to the head" and the american visitors think you mean shot. No he was found in the gutter at the side of the road maybe five minutes after his death, his body still warm - mum had let him out of the house 10 or so minutes before. He never had an official name, I called him Murphy and that was the only unique name he was called by. He was about 10 months old.

There was blood comming out of one side of his mouth only, none of his bones had been crushed or broken but maybe the jaw-bone was. We had two cats and a dog, now we have one cat (3 or 4 years old) and one dog (10, 11 or 12 years old). I'm not sure exactly on the ages except I know Murphy was 10 months old because he was born in December.

As to what happened? I was awake, and my mum was awake at 7:30 this morning, when the cat died. Neither of us or my brother who was also awake heard any cars, or cats or dogs (as in he was chased). We live on a loop street that comes off another quiet street. It should have been easy to hear a car, especially if it slamed it's breaks on. No sounds. And the gutter, not even the road. His body was in too cood condition and take it from me he was terrified of moving cars. I personally beleive someone kicked him in the head.

Which is as bad as shooting a cat.

PS: obi-wan you are a biggot. Dogs are very diffrent from cats and your comparison is unfair.

that's just sad, why would anyone want to kill a cat. it's just cruel.

and i wouldn't call obiwan a biggot, but it is true that cats have less of a dendancy to reek havoc than a dog has, whic is why dogs are kep on leashes and cats aren't (and is also why cats are allowed outside without their owners and it's not advisable for that to happen to dogs as dogs probably would get lost)

sorry again for your loss mek.

I'm sorry for your cat. I really am.

I don't have a cat; or any other pet, myself, because I'm allergic; but the cat of a friend of mine was strung up by it's neck in at tree. Fortunately it was found, and survived, but it was a young cat, and never really recovered.

Who would do something like that? Try to hang an innocent cat in a tree!

There a lots of other diffrences too, for instance dogs generally aren't that road-wise, and generally don't clean themselves (if a cat dosen't clean itself you should wask it with water and soap until it does clean itself).

Anyway, cats will sometimes chase other cats and get into fights, but they gernerally aren't life threataning to the other cat (once a very long time ago while I was walking the dog these two big dogs ran out of the owners front door and attacked it - they would have killed my dog too if they hadn't been so obediant to the owner one had picked him up by his back using his teeth).

So like I said, you can not compare cats to dogs.

Cats and dogs are pretty much the same- they're both eaten by the Chinese...

Dogs are loyal and will stick by their owners, also they have more of a personality- hence one of m dogs, I trained her to sit drop and roll over- cute thing is sometimes you Tell her to sit but she also drops and roll over- cats don’t do any fancy tricks except eat birds and play with balls of wool- you can even have a conversation with dogs- I know I do, I’ll come home from work and be greeted by 2 innocent widdle faces who are happy to see me and I’ll always say something along the lines of “hi kids how are you? Have you been a good boy and girl today?” and then in amongst all their barking and carrying on I’ll say “ohh really? Is that what happened today? Was Emma being a bully again Dawson? Emma? You haven’t been picking on Dawson again have you?” meanwhile they’re still jumping up and down on me wanting cuddles and pats.

Do you really mean to tell me that a cat greets you with this sort of enthusiasm when you come home? I’ve never seen a cat greet someone with that sort of enthusiasm, most often than not they just wanna go outside and kill some birds. The only slightly affectionate cat I’ve met is my best friends cat who headbutts you to show his affection!

I personally prefer dogs more, but my best friend prefers cats, doesn’t mean anyone is right or wrong, they’re animals and everyone likes different animals and either way I think its sad and horrible that someone could run over a poor innocent little cat

When I was a little girl my brother told me dim sims were made out of cats and dogs- since then I've been terrified of dim sims and I'm serious I can't look at them without feeling sick- even though now I know they arent made out of dim sims now its just the childhood trauma I went through as my brother teased me about it

A person that is married to more then one person.

umm, no, i bigot is someone who is racist, as mek quite rightly said (or at least meant, although you aren't a racist, but that's what he was trying to call you)

to be married to more than one person is bigeme (sp?), something completely different.

also, DS, what do you mean, cats don't have souls? where are you getting your information. cats are said to have nine lives, but life and soul are two very different things no matter how you look at it (and i am not reffering to a fish of any type). a cat may or may not have a soul as we may or may not have a soul, but we don't know for sure and therefore you are in no position to make that remark.
