Sephiroth CR
How do load the server configuration file with the game? And how do I use the adminmod system in JediPLUS 4.1 (example I typed \amfreeze <player> ,and it said I was not and admin, and wouldn't let me. So I set an adminpass then typed it the password I set it to, but it still said I was not an Admin. ) By the way this is on the server I created. And could someone give me an example of what my server configuration should look like. So I can use all the Admin stuff on my server.
Sephiroth CR
Ok. That whole entire problem with the JediPLUS 4.1 thing, is solved. I figured out how I needed to set the ampass adminpass passwords. But I still need to know how to load my server configuration file with the game, along with knowing what I need to type in the file to have the passwords set. Someone plese reply. Jah Warrior
if your server config is called - server.cfg type rcon exec server
Sephiroth CR
Ok. Where would I type this? I tryed typing it in the console command after I launched the game and it said I needed to have an rconAddress. What is that and what should I set it to? Just so u know, I have the JKII Multiplayer icon set so JediPLUS 4.1 loads with the game. And what folder should I have the the server.cfg in? Would me loading JediPLUS 4.1 with the game interfere with any of this?

Sephiroth CR
What about this whole entire rconAddress thing?
Jah Warrior
if you are using all seeing eye you shouldnt have to worry about that as long as you connect through all seeing eye. you must enter this in your server config file though for rcon to work. seta sv_privatePassword "xxxx" seta rconPassword "xxxx" once you have set your passwords you should have no problems connecting and using rcon via A.S.E I dont ever connect without ASE so i cant really help otherwise sorry:)
Sephiroth CR
Ok. So basicly I type rcon exec server in the console after I host and launch my game in ASE, right?
Sephiroth CR
How do I connect through ASE? It's unregistered u know.
Jah Warrior
Assuming you are running over a LAN to the server you just look in the lan servers section. Also dont worry about it being unregistered, it never runs out, despite what it says.
Sephiroth CR
Tell me if this is right. I click on the icon for ASE, then click on host game. Now when I launch the game, I open the console. I then type in rcon exec server. Then I lauch it. Is this right?? Just so u know I tryed that and it said I needed to set some cvar rconAddress thing. Also I still have no idea on the process to connect through ASE. Could u give me a step by step process to do all of this this? I think it would really help me. Jah Warrior
OK man, this is taking a lot of time but i done a walkthrough:- 1:- open allseeing eye 2:- find your server 3:- right click on your server (see image) 4:- click on server properties at the bottom of the list that appears. (see image) 5:- Then a box should appear with space for 2 passwords one is the rcon password and one is the private connection password. enter these now. (see image) OK once you have done this every time you enter your server via all seeing eye you will automaticly have admin capabilities. all you need to do is type:- for example:- rcon status etc... hope this helps,
crazy_elmo
BTW, When running a server, you can add to server.cfg to your shortcut when you start the game. Just add +exec server.cfg, and it should work fine. For the rcon, when you have the password configured in you server.cfg file. You can just type /rcon rconpassword and then the command you want in the console

ViolentJ_edi
actally i have found that if you set the rconpassword in the jk2mpconfig.cfg then you can just type rcon status for example, there is no need to retype the password again and reduces your chances of misspelling and everyone seeing you password
