blujay
Well, I'm at my wits' end, so I'm going to post a thread asking for help. I'm trying to run a Win32 ded server. I am behind a firewall/router/NAT, and have opened the correct port. People can join my server with no problem. However, my server is not showing up in the master server list. I have watched the log and it's sending the heartbeats without any errors. I have tried setting net_ip to nothing, which makes it use the default of localhost, and to the Internet IP of my router, and neither seems to work. I've heard rumors that there is a delay between the time the heartbeat is sent and the time it shows up in the list. Is that true? If so, about how long is the delay? Please help. I have checked this forum (search would be helpful...), have searched on Google, and have tried Jedi Runner, and none have helped.
crazy_elmo
From what I have heared and experienced, it can take up to 2 days before your server show up
Datheus
Make sure you're sending heartbeats. I'm pretty sure if you're not sending a heartbeat to your master servers, you won't be displayed. Also, make sure the Raven server is identified as a master server
Monkers
+set dedicated 0 = local server +set dedicated 1 = listen server (no heartbeat) +set dedicated 2 = dedicated server (with heartbeat)
FK|FallenOne
Mine is set as a dedicated...it used to show up on master server...now it's not. It shows up in gamespy and all-seeing eye but for the love of God it won't show up in master list now. I even had the host company shut it down for 5 minutes then reboot it. Is there an rcon command to send the heartbeat to the master server? I can't understand why this is happening now all of a sudden. It's a linux server.
