JSkater Posted November 12, 2002 Share Posted November 12, 2002 Hmm.. I was messing around with some mods files in My JK2 Base dierctory.. After I was finished, I went to the game. At the "cosole" thing, It said "Could not open string package 'CON_TEXT'" Now I'm confused. The mods I have downloaded and "installed" are Darkmod (not sure what version) JediMod 3.4, and Ultimate mod v3. Another question: How do I properly install mods? And how come I can't use most of the mod features in single player? I have a crappy internet connection, and Mutilplayer is always extremely laggy. Any suggestions? Hekx Posted November 12, 2002 Share Posted November 12, 2002 Downloaded modifications like JediPlus, ForceMod, JediMod and Ultimate Mod need to put in a seperate folder in your GameData directory. Example: Extract most of the files from JediPlus to your gamedata folder. Some may need to be put in the base, but most go in your gamedata/JediPlus folder. Some modifications are meant for multiplayer, JediPlus, while some other modifications work on singleplayer. MP > SP You can practice against bots in MP, but if you want to get really into online gaming with JK2, you'd need a broadband connection..
