SolidSam
I've recently made a skin of myself that would be complete...only I want a cape. You know, one like Dooku's, but red and black, not brown and black. Anyway, So, I need some help on this. Also, my pk3 needs some tidying up. It doesn't work in MP and I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
SettingShadow
Well to give a skin a cape you need to remodel it so it cant be done just by regular skinning And about your .pk3, try to use Packscape to make .pk3´s its really the best program for it out there
Pnut_Man
Sam, i've recently begun to do some basic skinning...and from my experience it's most wise to simply skin the count dooku model itself with your "textures". Unzip the dooku pk3...make a copy of his models/players folder. Rename it to whatever you like. Take your torso.jpeg place it on dooku...take the leg.jpeg place it on dooku...etc... And you probably already have done this but just to make sure... DOWNLOAD the jk2 editing tools. They come with Modview 2.1, which is so helpful for skinning.. SolidSam
Thanks anyway for the help, guys! I used modview, md3 viewer, and milkshape 3D to edit the "SolidSam" default model to support the Cape. I just need to tidey up a few files here and there and I'll be done! Once again, thanks anyway for the help.
Pnut_Man
Hmm..so if I'm understanding this right, you took a cape model and placed it on your default model?
SolidSam
Yeah, it took some doin'. Using all of the above mentioned programs let me do it. There's a step by step process using all of them in conjunction.
