Andy867
Actually, you'd be surprised. A) Jedi Outcast (being heavily tweaked version of Q3A, doesn't handle tris quite as well as it could) B) Celerons (Despite your 1.2Ghz version, really runs at about 900 when benchmarked to an Intel or AMD) C) Your video card, despite being 64MB, is slowly becoming the minimum requirement for games like this. D) Your RAM being 384 MB is good, but games like this are in heavy demand of the newer DDR RAM, especially like PC2700 which runs at 333 Mhz, as opposed to even a PC-2100 model, which runs at 266. Some suggestions would be to 1) make sure no programs are running in the background 2) Consider the Operating System. (Win9x isn't really meant for heavily detailed games like Outcast or UT2k3. 3) some commands that MIGHT show improvement in the console for Jedi Outcast, type these seta com_Hunkmegs 256 seta com_maxFPS 120 (this uncaps Jedi Outcast's default setting of 80FPS also, check your video settings to make sure video sync is off, and try playing with the detail levels to a level that you are comfortable with (maybe kick the resolution down if set higher than 1024x768)
