Blue_Lightsaber Posted December 5, 2002 Share Posted December 5, 2002 Guys I need help Ive uninstalled this editor and other tools countless times and its still not working. It only worked twice and thats when I reinstalled the entire game. Every time I try to compile it says bad command or file name. ANd one other thing. How do I get the editor to stop using the same entities that i've been using? It's really anoying I see all these other great SP lvls and I wanna start making my own. I want stormtroopers jumping around fighting with lightsabers and shadowtroopers shooting E-11s. So please help I want to edit levels! It sounds as though you may be saving your file in the wrong directory. Make sure that when you save your map you save it into the "gamedata/base/maps" directory as the compiler seems to need it in there otherwise it will not work. Eagle_e7 Posted December 6, 2002 Share Posted December 6, 2002 Yeah i know but i seem to recall getting that error a while ago when i accidentally saved my map in the wrong directory, just an idea to help him out:) Blue_Lightsaber if you're still having problems try compileing with q3map2. To do so go to this website and download GTKRadient 1.2.11 http://www.qeradiant.com/ Youll notice that in the bsp menu of the editor youll have a bunch of options with q3map2 on it, try compileing with one of those Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
