I installed Promod 3.0, and when I tried to load it, it wouldn't work. I expected this, because I already had other mods, models, skins, saber hilts and maps installed, so I began deleting things, in the order in which they were most likely to be interefering with Promod. When I tried to run Jedi Outcast, I got an error message, so I deleted some more (note: I was, at least I thought, deleting only .pk3 files I'd downloaded). I continued doing this, getting an error message and then deleting more, but could not get it to work. I decided to uninstall and then reinstall Jedi Outcast. I went into the control panel, add/remove programs, and found Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I clicked "change/remove" and was asked if I wanted to remove the program and all of its components. I clicked yes, and the meter to show the uninstallation progress sat, unmoving for about ten minutes before I gave up. So, I thought that if I couldn't uninstall the game, that must mean that for some reason it actually wasn't installed. So I tried to install it again from the CD-Rom, and was asked if I wanted to remove the program and all of its components. Puzzled, I clicked yes. The same thing happened. The meter wouldn't move. I later learned that I could play single or multiplayer by running it directly from the CD, but I couldn't install any mods or other downloads. So copied everything from the CD-Rom into my program files, and it worked. I could even install models, mods and maps. The models and maps worked just fine, but the mods, even with no other downloads installed, would not work. I just get a white screen. When I close it, the console says something like "version 7, expected version 6," or maybe the other way around. I've exhausted every idea I can possibly come up with. PLEASE HELP ME.:hang1:

Let me guess. You only get that error when playing multiplayer right? but its only on some servers, while some you can still actually join.. that error is caused by having an outdated version of Jedi Outcast. You need version 1.04 to play on most servers nowadays, which you can find right here. Enjoy!

no, no that's not it at all. i don't even get the launcher. i've been playing for a while, definitely WITH the 1.04 update. i can join pretty much any server i please. i only thought maybe it was somehow out of date all of a sudden because the console said something about versions.

thanks for the input, though. btw, i fixed it. it turned out i had to clean out the registry.:mauls:
