C'jais Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 Yup. Even though it says Win32 (I think that's what's confusing you) - that's the OS Xbox uses as far as I know. Wasn't Xbox originally destined to become online in some form or another?
Phizzle Posted December 16, 2002 Author Posted December 16, 2002 Well I thought that Xbox Live was the online thingy. It seems on Connect that you don't have to pay anything (cept your internet). Am I misinterpreting this or what? I know you need the cable for it and DSL or cable and all that jiggy. Maybe someone can explain it to me??? What's the difference between live and connect?

XboxConnect is a tool someone built to play Xbox games online before Live came out. XBConnect uses the network code a game uses for System link play. Basically, it tricks the Xbox into believing it's playing on a LAN. Seems like Live games are compatible too. And yes, it's totally legal, and free, but it does require a hefty connection. Don't believe for a second you can use it with dial-up.
