EffJi Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 I know, I know, Jangos head got cut off and flew out of his helmet, right. Well if you look closely, you can see that not only is jangos head cut off, but the missle on his jetpack is cut off as well. That would mean that the second shadow is the cut off missle head. Then where did his head go?
Wüstenfuchs Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 Man, I could check the movie again, but I don't think that Jango's rocket was sliced. I mean, it would blow up! (lightsaber heat + explosive projectile) Anyways, I think that this scene wasn't very well made. You can see clearly that Jango's body isn't human, but it's a doll (take a look at the neck)
BobaJango Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 You are thinking about the wrong jetpack morons! The missle carrying jetpack was destroyed during the fight with Obi Wan. He uses the secondary jetpack on Geonosis. Although it would be neat to see Mace explode when he kills Jango, would have been a much better death for Jango.
Darth Damage Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 he prob knows what hes talkin about, but no need for names biunty hunter.
EffJi Posted December 18, 2002 Author Posted December 18, 2002 There is a short mini-missle looking thing on his jetpack. I was refering to this. It's not as long as the missle shot at obi-wan but it will cast a shadow (that from the right height above ground can look like a head). When Mace slices, the missile-looking thing is cut off and you can see the destinct look of hot metal. First I thought it was his neck, but then I remembered that there wasn't any metal there. So I checked in slo-mo. and Wüstenfuchs: explosives doesn't have to blow up becuase it's exposed to heat. C4, for example can withstand heat (can even be set on fire without exploding as far as I can remember). EDIT: Oooops you guys. I saw the film again (I love my DVD) and paid more attention to the other shadow. And it looks like a head. I guess a missilehead can't look like that. But heres another question, the head and the missile both were cut off, in the same direction, pretty mush the same weight. But where does the missilehead go?
Admiral Vostok Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 The shadow of the head is only just on screen. The missile maybe fell just off screen. Don't forget the good people at starwars.com have confirmed that the second shadow is his head.
Taos Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 Originally posted by Admiral Vostok Don't forget the good people at starwars.com have confirmed that the second shadow is his head. I didn't believe that at first myself. I had to go back and watch it over and over again......but now of course I realize that's the truth!
Keiran Halcyon Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 ANother discussion about this? We should make a sticky thread explaining it. If you pause the movie you can see very clearly the shadow is a head. And once you knoe there are two shadows they are very easy to notice when watching normal motion

They are detonated by an electric charge, or, in certain circumstances, by a secondary, smaller explosive.
BobaJango Posted December 24, 2002 Posted December 24, 2002 Interesting, Mace had an electron lightsaber. And Jango's secondary jetpack (dont know true name) did not have a missle/warhead. Playing Bounty Hunter yesterday, it's just designed for long distances. So the "warhead" in the middle is a fuel tank. Fuel + heat = Mace running around on fire.
Master Bodle Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 U people think to hard about these things, does it really matter. Ur having a conversation about wot the shadow is??? But i do agree with Wüstenfuchs about the body looking unhuman it looks terrible wot were then think ing when they made that scene?
