darthplite Posted December 24, 2002 Posted December 24, 2002 when i went to try my map the lights where so bright i could'nt even see where i was going.i know i did'nt put that many lights inside my map so if anyone know's what might be wrong please tell me!
Takeoffyouhoser Posted December 24, 2002 Posted December 24, 2002 what values did you use for your light entities? Try 300 or 400 for the brightness and see if that helps. did you hit the wrong compile selection by accident? do a full vis compile and see if that helps
darthplite Posted December 24, 2002 Author Posted December 24, 2002 my map is realy huge so the values of my lights are normally 1000...
Leslie Judge Posted December 24, 2002 Posted December 24, 2002 You have a leak probably. There are a few threads here in the near past where people were asking the same question as you. Look for them. For example this one: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86303
darthplite Posted December 25, 2002 Author Posted December 25, 2002 i just fixed my leak but the lighting problems are still there!?wwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!?????????
Leslie Judge Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 And are you sure you don't have an other leak?
darthplite Posted December 25, 2002 Author Posted December 25, 2002 i'm pretty sure.doesent say leak when it's bsping?but when i went to try my level after it finished bsping it had the same damn problems with the lighting! wwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????
Matt-Liell Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 that happened when i made big levels but then i made light values 250 and put them in rows along the path and it works great see! http://www.geocities.com/yaduskins/nubiangeneratorroom
Ryick Pa'tran Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 I once had a map with the same problem. Luckily enough I had only completed two rooms. I tried everything possible (even re-lighting the whole place) and in the end I simply abandoned it. I know that this is not what you wanted to hear, but that is what i did. I copied everything (except the lights) and pasted it into a new file. It worked fine after that.
