Walwi Makno
I'm having some trouble with my fps. It seems to be very inconsistent. While walking through bespin streets, sometimes I get 80-100, but that generally doesn't last very long. It normally runs about 45-60 when I'm by myself, once I add a couple of bots or join a server, it goes down into the 20s-30s. I play on my laptop: P4-M 1.7Ghz GeForce 4 420 Go 32MB 512MB RAM Windows XP Pro VSync is off in game and in windows. No AA, No Anisotropic filtering. In game settings (these don't seem to affect the fps at all): 1024x768 32 Bit color Geometric Detail: Medium Texture Detail: High Trilinear Filtering Haven't messed with these: Video Sync: Off Detailed Lighting: On Wall Marks: On Anisotropic: Off And I've got this in my config file: com_hunkmegs 384 com_maxfps 200 Could I be getting more out of this than 30fps in multiplayer? Any help is apreciated.
Andy867
Well, the first foreseen problem is the video card having 32Mb of RAM. That can run most games pretty well, but Jedi Outcast requires a video card with at least 32 MB with the most up-to-date drivers to achieve a constant FPS of at least 50-70. Also, try turning off trilinear buffer.
