Vykk Draygo Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I have made my first skin ( I really only edited a Han Solo one to make my own little invention) But now I need to know how to turn a folder into a .pk3 file. I tried ziping it up using ZipIt (I have an iMac) after I ziped it I renamed it soe it was .pk3 then, using resedit I converted it so it hade the same info as the orginal .pk3s. my problem is is that it is not reading the skin. can you give me some clear instructions on how to make a real pk3 file? THANX A TON!!!!!!!!
ksk h2o Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 actually since you're on a mac I might not be very helpful after all but hey. All you need to do in a PC is rename the .zip as a .pk3. Be sure that the images you are using are jpegs that use STANDARD COMPRESSION and that the filenames and file/folder hierarchy are identical to the filenames listed in the .skin file of the model you re skinned (open with a text editor).
