Corpocus
I think this can be done. I posted this on another thread a while ago but it was off topic:) First, you have machines located in places that are far from populated areas. You walk up to this machine and you choose if you want to be......Yes, I want to be able to Loot/Pickpocket others and allow others to do the same to me OR No, I don't want others to Loot/Pickpocket me and I don't want to do it to others. Those are the 2 options. If people have to travel to a machine to pick this option then they are stuck with it while they travel and wont be able to turn it on and off during a battle or before a battle or at certain places. They would have to travel back to a machine to turn the options off/on. You want to do it to others then its gonna get done to you by people who chose the same option. No crying or bitching. You chose it you deal with it:) Now I think this is a good way to make those people that like Pickpocketing/Looting happy. True, maybe a lot of people will have that option off and the loot whores will complain that there is no one to loot/pickpocket..oh well..can't make everyone happy..but at least its an atempt:) Now a way to tell who has that potion on/off?..There should not be a way. Try and see.. The most important thing about this is, keeping those Loot Machines far from populated areas...make them travel to choose the options. Oh and when you make the character for the first time, you are auto, No looting untill you choose the, Yes Looting option. Then you would have to manualy turn option on and off at the machine Thats it..hope everyone like my idea:)
Deft Aklin
I definetely think this a vuiable solution. I don't think this is one of the prime concerns on the devs plate though. We shall see, but maybe they will add something like this after the game is released. I really could care less. If the world is full of thieves and they are allowed, well then I'll just need more STs to order to kill the bastages. Either way, people will deal. If they truely love SW, then they will play anyway....I think we all will.
Thew Rydur
Well it might work well for looting but for pickpocketing that would mean that a thief can only steal from a thief. That just doesn't seem right.

After all, if I make the politician I want, I don't think they'd want to steal from me anyway. I am pretty sure my ST squad accompaniment would sky them for it.
