DX_Nadun_Hagar Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 I was wondering, isnt it possible to extract the shader and snow textures from dad*mads snow pack? IT is possible right? He says anybody can use it as long as ya give him credit. Dose anybody know how to get import them into JKRadient? thanx -=nadun=-

If he's given permission citing credit for where you got it, the easiest way would be to download Pakscape (there's a link to it in the first RichDiesal tutorial... check the stuck thread on the subject at the top of this forum for the link). Once you've downloaded Pakscape, opening/altering/creating pk3 files is a breeze. Inside the pk3 for the snow map pack is where you'll find the textures for it.
DX_Nadun_Hagar Posted January 21, 2003 Author Posted January 21, 2003 Ok, ive added the shaders from the pk3 to the shaders folder. I also added the textures folder, "textures/snow/" But i can figure out how to add it into my level. This is what i did: I created a good size brush with the snow_sky shader, then i added no_draw to the top and bottom. but when i went to compile i got an error saying somthing like WARNING! shader texture texture/snow/snow_sky not found! but the textures are there in that directory. any thoughts? thanx again -=nadun=-
DX_Nadun_Hagar Posted January 22, 2003 Author Posted January 22, 2003 Damn, sure didnt. So do i just stick the name at the end of shaderlist.txt? Then dose anybody know how to Create the brush that would use this shader? -=nadun=-
DX_Nadun_Hagar Posted January 23, 2003 Author Posted January 23, 2003 Ok ive added the name to the shaderlist.txt, but it still dont show?
