CT shoukan420
i am currently working on my 2nd jk2map ... and i have problems with it (i cannont make a fullvis BSP) I made half the map with GTKv1.2.8 then i heard about 1.2.11 and decided to upgrade....when i DLed the new GTK i opened my map and continued working with it but when it came time to test my map i couldnt make a fullvis BSP (i made a small TEST map and it DID make a BSP) so this problem is ONLY with my new map. I found some things in the JUNK.txt file that i need an explanation for....so if any of u out there know the answer to why i get this message in build output plz...respond i would realy appreciate it:D ill leave what my build output said....HERE Loading map file c:/program files/lucasarts/star wars jk ii jedi outcast/gamedata/base/maps/ct-4.map entering c:/program files/lucasarts/star wars jk ii jedi outcast/gamedata/base/maps/ct-4.map WARNING: Couldn't find image for shader noshader ********************** ******* leaked ******* ********************** NumPoints (78) exceed MAX_POINTS_ON_WINDING (64). Eldritch
This should be in the Mapping part of the Editing Forum, not the Showcase forum.

Eldritch
It's ok, but according to the readout you posted, your map has a leak - which explains why you won't get a BSP. You have to fix the leak (which should appear as a fat red line in your map) before you can get it to compile correctly.
Leslie Judge
NumPoints (78) exceed MAX_POINTS_ON_WINDING (64). This means that you have a brush somewhere which is touched by too many other brushes. The coordinates (sample points) tell you where to look for that brush. You can solve this if you just cut it into two pieces or more if necessary.
CT shoukan420
well it did end up making a bsp after i kept at it but the map has alot of weird glitches that look into the void ..... (in the editor i cant find any leaks or opennings to the void) is there something i need to turn on to see the red line u where the leak is?? but what u guys said makes sense and helps alot ...thx again
Leslie Judge
If you use sof2map with Gtk 1.2.11 then I think the BSP monitoring not works, however I've never tired so I can't be sure. If it works with it (you should turn it on in Preferences) then Gtk will show those red lines automatically. If not works, then you have to load up the Pointfile manually in the File menu.
