Oystein Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 There's a new pirate game coming later this year. An online-game with thousands of players and the whole Caribbean as playing ground. It sounds sweet! Check out http://www.burningsea.com for more info.
Jack the Black Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Here's better there may be a mad dash to be the first one to sigh on as Guybrush Threepwod.
Oystein Posted January 24, 2003 Author Posted January 24, 2003 Heh, yeah. There will probably be a lot of those. Anyway, I think this game looks promising, maybe a bit ambitious, but I think they can pull it off. Just too bad I don't have broadband. It would be cool if we had a Monkey Island pirate nation online. It's most likely the closest we'll ever get to an online version of our beloved series.
Chuck the Plant Posted January 30, 2003 Posted January 30, 2003 10 GUYBRUSH'S 15 LECHUCKS AND LIKE 30 GUYS NAMED WITH THE WORD "MORGAN" IN THEIR NAMES... HMMM.... MAYBE ILL JUST HAVE "BARTOLOMEW ROBERTS"
Joshi Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 wow, this actually looks really good. i'd love it if i were able to log on as Guybrush Threepwood, the lovebly inept albeit mighty pirate. **edit** until i just found out that it costs $10 a month, well it was a good dream while it lasted, back to multiplayer Civ. never mind. oh, and if you want proof of the $10 a month, check out the FAQ on the site.
Oystein Posted January 31, 2003 Author Posted January 31, 2003 Yeah, I know. I can't afford that either. I also don't have broadband, so it's very unlikely that I'll be playing it. But I do believe it's got potential.
