Wolf Devil
Hi, I was wondering if anybody could let me know how to get somthing in JO that replaces the saber and hilt entirely.
clu
What do you want to replace it with? You can create custom saber "hilts" that can replace existing sabers. The hilts can be longer and simulate a sword or staff, and you can alter the shaders to get rid of the glow, etc. What exactly do you want to do? -clu

clu
well, the reason I ask is it depends on what you want to replace it with. I'll assume you want replace it with, say, a staff or stick or metal sword. The way to do this is 2 steps: 1) Get rid of the glow (which is all that really makes up the saber itself): The way you do this is: - go to gfx\effects\sabers - edit all the "*_glow.jpg" and "*_line.jpg" files so that they are all black (this will make the sabers disappear) 2) Create a new saber hilt and put it in "models\weapons2\saber". Just make the hilt look like whatever you want to put in his hand (a sword, a broom, a mop, whatever). There are a bunch of tutorials out there to do that. Here's one I used: http://www.massassi.com/coffeestain/03.html -clu
