000nate Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 I already know how to create cutscenes, but I want to play a .avi file or basicly any other movie file I can find (files that are .avi, .mov, .mpeg, .wmv) You get the point. How do I do this? :I basicly just want to play a movie (not a cutscene) at the begining of my map (a short movie clip of course)
-Chrono_MOT- Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 You don't play those in maps, you can only play ROQ files. Basically, a ROQ is a compilation of TGA maps for each frame. So what you would have to do is make a TGA for each frame of film, and use a ROQ compiler. You would then use a SP definition in your map script that plays the ROQ.
froman2686 Posted February 18, 2003 Posted February 18, 2003 If you had your AVI and somehow split it up frame by frame you could then assemble it into ROQ, that seems to be the easiest way. Any hardcore code-monkeys out there feel like making a converter?
