Admiral Vostok Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Now that I've got cable, I might actually be able to play properly on the Zone. However, I only have 550Mb of download limit a month, and it gets used up quickly. Does anyone know how much of my downloads will be used up by an average RM game on the Zone? If it's not that much I'll be playing more often on the Zone. If it's a fair bit I won't be there. Any indication would be valuable.
pbguy1211 Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 well... you need the zone connector thinggy which is a file itself... if you save the game you'll be adding files... any scenario's will take space... shouldnt be a lot for an rm though. but be forewarned... expect to lose frequently at first if you aren't very aggressive!
Admiral Vostok Posted February 13, 2003 Author Posted February 13, 2003 Would an RM take up about 1M? More? Less? I understand I'll get kicked a lot in the beginning, but I do want to become a better player so I'm willing to go through with it.
Sithmaster_821 Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 I think RM is more up than down. But you must install the Zone software first, and that requires some downloading
swphreak Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 I dont remember exactly how many files you need to download but lets jus say that on my computer my entire directory for the Zone is 2.34 MB. Then there's the whole downloading the patches for GB and CC or whichever one you gonna play. Then if you play scenarios, you gonna be downloading a file. The largest Scenario File I have is about 86 KB. And I can gaurantee that you'll be downloading a file if you play a scenario. I dont think there is any file downloading for RMs, but I wouldn't know because I rarely (aka never) play RMs on the Zone.
