master_thomas
I know that many fxFiles only work in multiplayer, but which fires and explosions work for single player? In my map, you are in an imperial base to get your lightsaber and when you find it, the place starts to fall apart, but its of course, SP and I need explosions effects. 000nate
Actually I was under the impression there was more fxfiles in sp than for mp. Just look for the fire efx files. And run them using fx_runner. Its really quite simple.
000nate
oh yeah you might want to try to use fx_explosion trail. Which I believe is the same thing they used for comets in the actuall sp of jk2.
master_thomas
I do have a few explosion_trails, but I want single explosions, like computers and pipes exploding and yes, I think according to the entity information about explosion_trail says that it can be used as a meteor. Leslie Judge
There are no MP only or SP only effect files. You can use every .efx file you have in SP.
master_thomas
then why do some like fire_burst and huge_lightning work in my MP tests, but not my SP tests. In single player, those and others just don't appear.
Eldritch
There's an 'edit' button, master_thomas, so you don't have to post a second time to fix something. If you're seeing fx_files in MP but not SP, you probably have not done a separate compile for SP.
master_thomas
I didn't do that on purpose. I don't know what happened. I used edit. I know that there is an edit button and I just deleted the first one.
Eldritch
You couldn't have used the edit button, because the two posts looked different. And don't get mad at me, i'm not the one double posting.
