Commander Venus
Some of the puzzles in Infernal Machine are really obscure. I don't know how I would get through some of it without a walkthrough. Despite being a fun game I'd say that it's pretty low on the Indy scale, in my opinion at least. nd
I found the puzzles quite challenging. I didn't use a walkthru and therefore it took me quite a long time to finish the game in the first place. Afterwards, I used some hints posted here in the Strategy and Hints forum to find out about the eastereggs. In my impression the puzzles are Indy-ish enough to (sooner or later) find out how to solve them without using a walkthru. However, I wouldn't have found most of the eastereggs without some strong hints.
GendoTheGreat
I got through the first few chapters just fine without a walkthrough. But I didn't finish the game because my CD got scratched on the label side, so maybe the puzzles got insanely diffucult.
Commander Venus
I don't find them insanely difficult but only really random and weird. For example, to solve Puzzle X you need to first find Object A and use it with Object B to get Object C but the objects will be completely random things that you normally wouldn't think of. I don't know... it's probably just me!
loofy
Speaking of bad puzzles - Worst was Prince of Persia 3d (this game is on par with Panty Raider in it suckiness) but Jedi Outcast has some really dumb puzzles too. The part with the crate puzzle(crate puzzle in a 3d game? Impossible! ) where they change heights so you can get to higher crates so you can get some bacta tanks while you are getting shot by turrets so in the end by the time you get the bacta tanks (after 20 minutes of running back and forth and jumping) you will have less health than you gain on EASY MODE!
