So every time you try to play Jedi Outcast it freezes/crashes every 5 minutes/30 minutes/1 hour (whatever).

You've already tried going into your GameData/Base/jk2mpconfig.cfg

You've tried increasing the "seta com_hunkMegs" . Still not fixed.

You've tried turning on "seta s_UseOpenAL ". Still not fixed.

You've tried turning off GL Extensions. Still not fixed.

You've tried all sorts of Goddamn drivers. Still not fixed.

YOU'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. So how do you fix it?

Answer: Simply verify that YOUR DESKTOP RESOLUTION is

EXACTLY THE SAME as your Jedi Knight II Color Depth!

EG: If your desktop resolution is 32bit, then your Jedi Knight II Color Depth would ALSO have to be set to 32bit.

I know lots of people have been having this problem. So had I for a very long time. This is how I fixed it. I hope this thread helped.

Actually, I've set mine to 16 bit depth when my desktop is running 32 bit, and it doesnt cause any errors or problems. Rule of thumb though, it wouldn't hurt to run a game at 800x600x16-bit it still allows smooth graphics, but an increase in performance over 800x600x32-bit or even 1024x768x32bit, etc.

yupyup. The solution I posted was only for the people who have crashing problems. If you don't have crashing problems anyway, that's great.
