JediMasterEd Posted February 21, 2003 Share Posted February 21, 2003 I just purchased Command and Conquer Generals, threw the CD in and was expecting to play it, when Install Shield started to boot up, Error 1607: Cannot install InstallShield Scripting or something like it sppeared. So I though, ok, just reboot. So I did, AND IT CAME UP WITH THE SAME GD ERROR!!! I STAYED IN FRONT OF MY GD COMPUTER AND I CHECK EVERY AND ANY CNC GENERALS WEBSITE THERE IS AND NONE HAD A SOLUTION!!! Darth Homer Posted February 21, 2003 Share Posted February 21, 2003 I don't know if this is it, but when I had Norton Antivirus, I had to disable it before installing anything...have you thought of doing that (disabling antivirus software & re-enabling after install)?
