Mister_Sinister Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Level 1 of Episode 1, "Havoc's Cry". This episode is set in a secret, Rebel training facility. The first four shots are of the aux. hangar bay where the player starts. They're a bit old, but I'm dl'ing a huge file right now, so I can't boot up JO and take new shots. The last four are of a hallway. Oooh ahhh! Nothing is 100% final, so feel free to make suggestions/comments.
Yun the Sith Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Very nice screens. It looks like we have another quality SP level to look forward to. Personally, I think hanger bays should have a little more light, but it don't matter that much.
Mister_Sinister Posted February 23, 2003 Author Posted February 23, 2003 Thanks! Wish more people would reply though.
rolsen Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Yeah, I agree. Some more light in the hanger would be good, but not too much... I personally like the environments to be a little on the darker side because it makes the lightsabers stand out more. Think Episode II, Anakin vs. Dooku.
Leslie Judge Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I'm not sure (because the agnle of the shot) but maybe you should make the hangar higher, compared to the ship inside. Amd some texture alignment On the 3rd picture, the "columns". The top is OK, but at the bottom you can see that one of those little squares is only a half. I think it would look better if you made the texture a little smaller or bigger to not have half square on both ends. The other one is in the hallway. Again the "columns". They are looking they have many laps on them. But at the two sides there are half lamps. Can that texture be shrinked a bit to make them whole? I know these are little problems, if they are problems at all. Anyway, the pictures are looking very nice to me.
lassev Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Very nice indeed. You have certainly fulfilled the odd Star Wars concept that no room should be box-like nor any corridor with straight angles. Yeah, I wonder, when real architects notice that... Yes, your map has a lot of promise, if you have a good plot to go along with it.
Altus_Thrawn Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Looking very nice. In my opinion, the hanger light above the ship hangs down to far, or the hangar is to short.
Mister_Sinister Posted February 26, 2003 Author Posted February 26, 2003 Yeah, I'm thinking about extending the length of the hangar. Anyways, thanks for the support. Anyone else have a comment or suggestion?
