Happily Insane
Ok I had a 64 mb Ati radeon 7000 pro agp. It ran outcast not bad but the game itself became really dark. Unless I shake the heck out of the brightness bar to get it to be somewhat playable. I went out and bought a geforce 440 64mb agp today "by the way kicks my ati card to hell and back". But same prob with how bright it is. And my desk top looks fine. I can move the brightness in the game and it won't do a thing unless I go really fast sliding it end to end. And thats a 50\50 chance it will get brighter or go darker. Thanx for your time Happily Insane
Andy867
Try updating the drivers for your new GeForce card (http://www.nvidia.com) and see if that doesn't help. Try going to your Display panel under control panel via the start button, and see if you can't play with the brightness and contrast settings. Also, try uninstalling jedi Outcast, reboot, then re-installing to see if that doesn't help.
Happily Insane
I did uninstall the game to see if that was it nothing and the drivers for the Geforce but last night after reinstalling the game I get an erro"set device gamma ramp failed". It never use to do this. But I heard if you install the game with1.04 patch and then uninstalling and reinstalling the game screws it up somehow. But there is a way to fix it and I can't remember how to do it. But thats the only thing I can think of that I haven't tried yet.
