Darth Bolshevik Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 I have been trying to play jk2 w/ my friends. I have 56k and my friends have cable/dsl. I can't host a server, so the one w/ dsl hosts it. When I try to play, it says "Connection interupted" and stops me for a second. Then, when it doesn't say that, I lag a lot and whenever i try to do something, I get moved all over the place. We play with the JediMod v1.2 and ForceMod. I have a bunch of character skins and models, a few maps, and I replaced the bryar pistol w/ Han Solo's gun. Could any of this be the problem? If anyone knows how to fix it, or at least how to make it stop moving me all over, please respond! Thanks!
!SoS! Acrid {J} Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 you get incredible lag because youre using an incredibly slow connection while your friends cruise with high speed. My only suggestion is turn off anything that is hogging up resources. Either that or get a high speed connection. sry yer screwed.
Andy867 Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Yea, with this day in age of graphical games, 56k is like playing with a 14.4 modem.. They just aren't up to the high bandwidth demands for the internet. so like Acrid said, either lower the video textures and such, or upgrade your internet connection to at least DSL or Cable (preferrably)
